Membership and Participation

Published classes are open to the public. Aikido South invites friends, relatives, spouses and other spectators to view class. Aikido students may train by joining the dojo or visiting individual classes.

Members of the dojo may train during additional non-public training events, private sessions and special seminars. Membership dues helps maintain a clean environment, care for the location and support the dojo.

Members in good standing are eligible to test and hold rank within the Aikido Schools of Ueshiba (ASU), the national organization to which Aikido South belongs.

Visitors may attend public classes and participate in class after paying a small mat fee and signing a waiver.

Who's an Adult?

Aikido is a martial art and some activites in our adult classes may not be suitable for children.  Aikido South generally ecourages children 11 and up to train in our adult classes.
